well....the feed store had them. And I gave the sad eyes to DH and we came home with 2. whoops.
I think they are Silver Marans, but the color was not specificed. They are only a week different in age from the current flock.... they are cuties...
I will work on handling them a lot to get them used to it. Most of our current flock really like being handled. We only have on "flighty" one so far, and it is one of our EEs. The other EE is CRAZY freindly, and will run up on your hand when you put it in there. Our friendliest ones so far is the one EE, the to Cochins (standard, not the maybe Bantams) and our Barred Plymoth Rock. I am sorta shocked the Silkies are more friendly (they are easy going...), hoping they will get more friendly like the others....
