Unfortunately we have been delayed twice—the sellers seem kind of flakey.... let’s hope we’ll be getting her at all!

This is Velma, an almost 18 week old red silkie cockerel. He has an enormous comb that droops over to the left side of his face. Because of this, he does not see all that well on that side and tries to walk around with his right side leading the way, giving him an almost crab-like gait. Poor little guy also has a mild scissor beak! The girls are not interested in him at all... He reminds me of one of those little boys on the playground that would run up and pinch the girls that he liked. Velma has no chick game! He is ornery, some would say ugly, and due to his deformity, I suspect he may not be with us for a long time, but he has a special place in my heart!
