I'm not sure if there is already a thread for this or if this is the right place to post but, whatever :plbb

Post your favorite nickname of the day. Be sure to share pictures and stories of how they got their nicknames!!

Rosie has many nicknames, her most recent being 'Harriett" or, "Hairy- ett".
I find myself calling Teddy "Prince Teddy-kins" 🤣

Cool thread idea! I have five chickens and my children have nicknames for pretty much all of them. I personally call them all "sweeties" or "my babies". My children call:
Chippy: "CHEEP-EE!!!" (in a high-pitched voice) or "Fluffers" (her full name is Chipmunk - she's an EE)
Runt: "Runty" or "Runty-poo"
Cotton Butt: CB (she doesn't have a cotton butt anymore...)
Buffy: "Buffsters" or "Buffy-boo" or "BUFF-EE" (in a high pitched voice)
Specks: "Specks-sees", formerly spunk.
Mostly just their names with an "eee" at the end...

Well most of my “pets” don’t have names much less “nicknames” But Tater actually inherited my childhood nickname as her Name!!! 06158BFB-0F71-4A7D-8A76-5C21E3C5D78C.jpeg
then there’s “nosey Rosie” she’s a Rosetta quail hen that I’ve had for a long time that tries to be in the middle of everything we do in the aviary
My other two “hunting dogs” were named after our 4x4’s (zookie and blazer)

I call Rosie"nosey Rosie" too! She always wants to be first, she wants everything that's not hers (until it is), and she does not understand personal space whatsoever!

Tater is a cutie!

Skye ... AKA Crazy Dog, but she answers to Goob, Goober and Dipschmidt, as well.

And this pile of hair (the pale end is the one we feed) is Indy, which IS his nickname, becausehis full name (actually written on his vet card) is too much of a mouthful for most. He's:
Indy-Go-Out-The-Window-Of-A-Moving-Minivan-In-The-Middle-Of-896-In-The-Middle-Of-Rush-Hour ...
because that's what he did. He's not the brightest crayon in the box, not by a long shot, but what he lacks in intelligence, he more than makes up for in sweetness!

And all of my chickens answer to "Peepers!"

Well, for my chickens, half of them don't have nicknames, and I don't know how to spell half of them, but here goes:
Jasmine: Jazzet
Mochi: Momo (she’s the silkie in my profile picture. When she's with her friend, Boba, I’ll often just refer to them as ’The Marshmallows’)
Emily: Emma
(and the others are just Boba, Kiki, Ponyo, Yuki, and Minnie.)
