Yeah, it sucks. Depending on what store you go to you can pay 0.08 - 0.15 per bag.Great, now I'm soon gonna have to drag a couple pillow cases with me when I go shopping.
I think the whole foods here gives a discount (.05) for bringing bags, but doesn't charge for bags. Some chains too. Aldi for example. They encourage you to bring your own or you can pay for them at the store.
Sometimes... if it happens in front of the cashier or in their parking lot. Usually it makes it to the car.. but fails as you are carrying it from the car to your front porch. So if they stuff the bag causing it to fail can you get a refund or exchange?
They just started this here in Illinois.Yeah, it sucks. Depending on what store you go to you can pay 0.08 - 0.15 per bag.
I have an empty box I have in back of my van for bags like that. It is just big enough to place two broken bags inside it at a time. It helps with unloading at home.Sometimes... if it happens in front of the cashier or in their parking lot. Another pet peeve associated with that is bagging items that shouldn't be put together. One store that I use to shop at would put the blueberries on the bottom and immediately put the milk ontop. If not fresh berries, it would be another soft fruit or bread. Or the put a cleaning product with a food item in the same bag and the cleaning product spilled/leaked. I got so fed up with crappy baggers 98% of the time I bag myself. The one that gets me is asking if I want my milk in a bag. Yeah, that's going in the fridge...I want it to stay clean. Or they go ahead and bag that cheap jug of wine like I'll trust that cheap plastic bag. I get that bag costs will add up, but don't go cheap on my milk and then put the pack of pens and a notepad in their own bag.
