Wow, I bet you feel everything in a plane that small. I've only been on commercial flights but I like flying. Take off and landing are the best😃
I do like flying too.
That ride was at an air show & it was well worth it. He let me "fly" for 20 minutes of the 30 min ride. There are dual controls. It amazed me that the plane was so responsive, it only took a slight bit of adjusting flight stick, to barely go up or down, left or right. When wind gusts would push the plane upward, I'd keep it level moving the stick forward a bit, & adjust accordingly however the wind blew, keeping us level. He said I was a natural and I should get my flying license...Well, I don't know about that, sounds like someone might want to earn a few bucks as an instructor. I do know that it was something I will never forget, Totally awesome. If you get the chance to do something on the bucket list, go for it.

There was one slightly scary plane ride I was on, a small old plane, 12 seater. Let me tell ya, that plane did some shimmy and shakes!
Flying into Richmond on the tail end of Isabel on a 737 was an interesting landing. Never touched down sideways at an airport before... Those pilots had cajones.

I wouldn't even look at a plan after that.
I love flying. I was gonna be a pilot when I was younger on my way to getting into the astronaut program (I've been space-obsessed since I can remember and had several career options to get me into space mapped out). I grew up in a town with a large Marine base, and used to spend my afternoons on the flight line or even in the cockpits of all kinds of aircraft (I had connections through family, this wasn't normal and was way before 9/11). I love airplane noise and I'll jump at any chance to get into the sky.

I never made it to space, but I haven't given up hope.
