Pet Peeves

I know!!! Good grief, I've seen road victims, not a pretty site, they can't even walk, sit or lay down without agony for many weeks.
Nothing like road rash so bad you have to sleep on Vaseline covered plastic sheets so you don't wake up glued to the bed.

I sincerely hope that isn't you relating a personal experience, because I am sorry for past you in so many ways :(
Nope that was a riding buddy back in the day.
I've only had one bad one. Hit by a truck and got thrown through the air.
Thank God I safely landed on my head. No greasy sheet sleeping for me.

I have sent food back recently on a couple of occasions. Wife has a severe allergic reaction to sour cream (to the point we carry an epi pen just in case), and so we make sure to let the server know about it when we order things. I've had to send things back that came with sour cream on them (usually potatoes or mex food) on more than one occasion. It's super odd. She's fine with almost all other diary but something specifically in sour cream sends her into anaphylaxis. I hate making a fuss but you're not gonna kill my wife because either the server or the cook messed up a specific request.
You are a sweety and doing the right thing. You seem on top of it. Sour cream is a fermented food (like yogurt). I'd bank money she is allergic to a specific strain they use in it. I make fermented stuff. Kombucha, home made yogurt/sour cream, sauerkraut, that sorta thing. I love sour cream...it's awful she is allergic.

I loved flying open cockpit biplane. Even though he wouldn't do any loop de loops or barrel rolls, it was still awesome!View attachment 3060312
My first non-commerial flight was in a Stearmen like that. I have flown (road) in multiple WWII planes since. Bombers, fighters, transports and trainers. Even rode in a P-51 and a F-4 Pantom. Nothing was as purely joyful as that Stearman. (Although aerobatics in the F-4 was like riding in God's rollercoaster!)

An allergy to anything can be very frightening, especially if you find out the hard way. I had a severe reaction to a DiGiorno pizza in the 1990s. I think it was due to preservatives, it was awful, eyes & face swelled, my neck & chest skin had red blotches, asthma was bad, & basically from my mouth to my stomach was on fire. I haven't so much as looked at a frozen pizza since.
