Socks keep the sandals clean, right?

I usually never wear socks with sandals. I had a cut on my left foot I was trying to keep protected that day and tennis shoes hurt a lot more than sandals and socks, so sandals and socks it was.

Oh I let it out the day I sliced my foot open at the river on a broken bottle. I hate stupid inconsiderate dillweeds who can't be bothered to clean up after themselves. there are trash barrels every 50 freaking feet! Use them!
