Anyone interested in budgies??? I need to rehome a bunch!! I’m just on the sunny side of Louisville![]()
Pendulum swings right. Kids who had teachers who made stuff up, were overly harsh, graded unfairly grew up timber adults who swear to "protect" their kids not realizing that hardship builds character and it's an important lesson in not thinking everyone is good. IdkI tell ya, it’s one extreme or the other at schools. Used to discipline with rulers (not me just in general), but now parents call the school if you look at their kid sideways…what happened to the middle? Appropriate discipline and respect?![]()
Is it a private school? We had spankings at a private school when I was a kid, but I've never heard of it in public school. We are supposed to sign a statement giving the school the right to give our kid swats. I don't sign it, never have. I write, "If my kid needs swats, call me and I will come take care of it." I've never had to. They have other forms of discipline anyway, in-school suspension, after-school detention, etc.
The only kids who are afraid of being suspended are the ones who would never do anything to get suspended for.We had swats in public school back when I went.
Wasn't an issue because I never got into trouble but I can say it was the only disciplinary action that most feared.
Suspension in school wasn't nothing and ya out of school was a bonus vacation.
Mines the opposite. Every time I'm at the school they tell me how much of a perfect angel he is. As they go on and on I'm just standing there saying... this one? Are you sure you're not confused?Y'all, don't get me started on how bad kids are in schools. The only thing worse is the parents who think their little angel never does anything wrong. And it's that little angel who needs the ass whipping
