i know “chicken” and “not chicken”. the funny letter combinations might as well be in a different language as far as i’m concerned

Writing Tennessee Walking Horse out is much more complicated than saying TWH.

To be honest, I only use abbreviations for breeds when I'm talking to someone that knows what I mean though. Unless I'm having a teach moment. Writing it out is easier than abbreviations when you have to go back and write it out anyway because people are like:

 

[Shabby Chic-Hens]

When people ask me “is that a chicken or a hen?”
Hen: a female chicken
Rooster: a male chicken
Chicken: all of the above.
