Pet Peeves

Random calls! This person in Beaumont keeps calling me and leaving no message. They’ve called twice back to back today and once yesterday and I missed all the times. Very annoying.
Sometimes the 'robocalls' are just pinging to see what times you will answer the phone. They can sell that data to other spammers.

They texted me after I blocked them from calling me :lau Sorry Mrs. Sharita!

You say that now... I recently got one of those both my work email and cell. It's gross. Usually it's a bait for men (I'm a happily married woman who is married to a man), BUT those email and texts can potentially have viruses and malware to hack into your devises.
Oh yes, I know. I was just joshing a little. Kinda what I do to be able to eat. Wait, wait, wait that did not sound right. I do not mean I josh for a living, or send spam for a living. I'm a Systems Administrator. So, yes I hate viruses, malware and not too crazy about spam either. These are precarious times and only going to get worse. It is a constant chase. Sometimes, you do not know who is chasing who, though. lol

I have to say that getting on the "do not call list" actually works, or least for me it has. I might get one call a year about my auto warranty has ran out. I cannot remember ever getting any kind of whacked out text of any kind. Of course I keep a low profile online. I have never used facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat etc... just because I know all too well how dangerous they are. I do a lot of blocking of all of the above on the workplace network. I also use duckduckgo for a search engine which blocks tracking. I do go outside of it at times, but rarely.
