This ain't a peeve it just PMO. Most recent and there are many, are Pharma commercials. A drug for the treatment of Alzheimer's, one of the "possible" side affects, CONFUSION, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!, and DW wonders why I am suspicious.

Daytime tv much worse. Apparently someone figures only old sick people stay at home to watch tv. (Well, yeah, but still.) And you only see car and truck commercials during morning and evening news - when working people may be watching! Just good marketing I guess.

Still on the topic of TV ad-related peeves. Here in australia ...

their ads only seem to appear very late at nite since they come under fire for a cruelty to animals barage of complaints even though no animal was even shown. I guess no humans were offended by the mockery of a certain class of people this lender was preying on.

Very hard for some people to budget for unexpected major medical expenses when every penny goes to pay for daily survival.

It is not the borrowing in an emergency I object too - it is encouraging people to borrow beyond their ability to repay - and treating people as even stupider than they could be - because most people are not really anywhere near that stupid.
