Pet Peeves

Yes! We actually had that when I was little!
We built a façade fireplace out of a bookshelf! It was the coolest thing, and literally EVERYONE commented on it, without noticing that there wasn’t even a chimney outside!😂😂
So ... the "fireplace" was a fake covering for bookshelves hiding behind it? That is WAY cool!

Well, not really… it was definitely open.
I’m looking for a picture rn.
Here’s a picture of it before we moved.
I can’t find one of it all loaded with books. Those must be on an old SD card somewhere!🥴🙄😂🙈

When I was little, we lived in a huge(to me) colonial house with a giant fireplace. There was a built in bookcase on each side of the fireplace and the doors were stained glass windows. It was wonderful, to read on the rug in front a roaring fire
Stained glass window doors just sounds amazing. I love green stained glass.

Houses where this is the only TV wall. The TV should be at eye level, not hugging the ceiling over a hot fireplace. It eliminates A LOT of houses from our search. Maybe some folks don't use their TV much, and honestly, good for them! But my husband and I are avid gamers and enjoy relaxing in front of the tube before bed. I'd rather not have a crooked neck from doing so.

Move it, Silly!

A pet peeve is "something a particular person finds especially annoying".

Do you have a pet peeve? Or perhaps more than one?
Ones I'm most interested in hearing are the ones that wouldn't necessarily annoy a lot of people but is something that drives you nuts.
Share what it is and the reason (if you have one) behind it.
My neighbor, who allowed her dogs to kill off her entire flock (including 4 of mine boarding there), then breeding MORE dogs and allowing them to slowly pick off her new flock rather than training/containing them. She says they're in a 'learning stage' with the new flock 😳 Did they not learn with the first flock?🤷 This is why I built my own coop and keep my flock in my yard. I have 2 dogs, but I've trained them and they barely pay attention to my hens now. It seems cruel to me, js.
