When people say "supposeably" when they mean "supposedly." And "Pacifically" instead of "specifically."

When I was a teen, I would pronounce "hors d'oeuvres" like "whores de ovaries". No one corrected me for a very long time because they probably had no idea what I was trying to say.

My DH says Illinoise. Pronouncing the S! (My toes are curling as I write this, lol!) The Catholic nuns in my elementary school really beat that sort of thng out of us! Along wth Lie-berry, of course.

But the one that actually gets a physical reaction out of me is: co-conspirator. It curls my toes, makes me shudder, and I actually yelp when I hear it! I can't help it! You even hear it on the news from people who should know better.
