Pet Peeves

People who leave the TV on even when they're not watching or listening to it, especially when you're visiting them.

I visited my sister and was trying to have a conversation OVER THE TV because IT WAS SO LOUD. Finally, I said, "Can we turn that off?" She looked surprised and said ok.

One of the kids came in and said, "What's the matter with the TV? Is it broke?"

I need the noise to block out the roaring in my deaf ear which makes me want to stab myself in the ear with a sharp knife or ice pick. I do mute or turn it off when I have visitors though.

That's understandable.

Yes, the TV is broke. It can't afford anything right now.

Another pet peeve (sorry if it's gross) is when you JUST cleaned the toilet and you have to go #2, then when you flush, it smears the #2 around and you have to clean it again.

Maybe that's more of a pet poove.
