Pet Peeves

Date your eggs at the fat end with the day they were laid. Then hold them for two weeks before you cook them.

Then start with the eggs at room temperature. Bring your water to a boil. No need to put salt, vinegar, soda or anything in the water. Gently put the eggs in the boiling water. TURN OFF THE HEAT and cover the pan. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Prepare a large bowl with ice water. When the timer goes off, take the eggs out of the hot water and put them in the ice water for 5-10 minutes. You can peel them immediately or not. Either way, refrigerate them. They will peel slick as a whistle. My guess is the eggs in your post were too fresh.

I do this every week. I make a dozen at a time so my DH always has one every morning for breakfast.

I always hard boil fresh eggs and never have problems. I make sure they are in the fridge first, nice and cold. Then I put them, straight from the fridge, into the boiling water. Let them boil for five mins then turn off the heat and let them sit about 15 more mins. Plunge in ice bath for however long you want then peel. Works for me, every time

Tractor Supply's terrible website. Just look at this thing:

Around one third of my screen real estate is taken up by the top bar there and the product name thingy. Especially on a sub-1080p screen like the one on my Mom's laptop, this is just terrible to look through. I have to constantly scroll to see content because it's hidden by that awful top bar thing. Any website with a top bar like that needs a redesign.

And not to mention it has weird issues with Firefox. As soon as I scroll to the reviews the whole site has a seizure. I tried in a Chromium-based browser and it was just fine.

Oh, and we have one of those heaters that I screenshotted the page of and mine died this year. Piece of trash. Just like their website.

What version of FF? I'm on current and it's fine. The UI is trash even on a big pixel display. However, you and I are not their customer base, and their UI/UX is designed for that market.

Maybe it's the privacy settings or something on this PC.

Being ignored. I can understand if maybe you didn't hear me, didn't see what I said, you're busy, or forgot. But there comes a point where it gets a little frustrating. Especially if that person is very obviously doing it on purpose, or to spite me.

When there's a potluck or event or whatever and they have hot dogs, but they ONLY have the spicy hot dogs. I don't get why people like them. They taste like spicy with a bit of hot dog flavoring.

Thankfully there were also burgers. I ate those instead.
