I don't mind an e-vite to most things. Yeah, a wedding is a bit much. But "hey lets grab coffee" or "hey poker night next week" or "hey little timmy's birthday next month" , all seem just fine.

Well, did you save the date?

The card sat on the counter for awhile. Then it got tossed in the trash when I cleaned up. And forgotten.

Eventually, we got the wedding invitation. Oh, that Chris! I didn't know he'd moved to Chicago. Well, too bad... that weekend has something else scheduled now. Weekends when we were working were precious. Visiting a very busy friend we seldom saw was precious too. So we did that.

Really, kid, if you had included your freaking last name!?! I would have known who you were.

One of my sons very best friends from uni did the save the date thing - but they had the full details of who where and when plus why.
He sure did save the date.
All the necessary information make a big difference.
So lack of information is one of my pet peeves.
