Pet Peeves

The face serum I bought to REDUCE redness literally burns when you put it on. Apparently, that's normal.

I now look like a parboiled tomato.
I'd question any company or promoter who says "no no, the pain is a GOOD thing. That's how you know it's working. Keep using that and buy another one"

I know, right? I'll give it a few more chances for my skin to get used to it, but I don't see how something that intentionally causes discomfort is going to calm anything down!

It's like all those ads for medications on tv, listen carefully and they can all cause the very problem they're supposed to fix. Anti-depressants? May cause depression and suicidal ideation. Anti-seizure medication? May cause seizures. All of them, not to mention, "which may prove fatal." Yeah that sounds good, give me some of THAT, lol. 😳

Count how many medication ads (prescription and OTC) there are during the newscast. Hmmmmm.... who is sponsoring the news.... hmmmm....

Reminds me of a Simpsons' joke where an advertisement's trying to sell hair growth formula for men, and the side effects include "loss of hair and scalp". :lau

Also, why don't they take quarters? Who's using their card?
I'll switch machines with you. We're running out of quarters!

Depends on time of day. Early in the morning and around dinner time, lots of ads for cars, beds, furniture and jewelry. Big-ticket items, aimed at people with jobs. During the day, ads for meds. For old, sick and decrepit stay-at-home folks.
