Got an odd one. I know this woman who asks 'thoughtless' questions - apparently just to get people to pay attention to her.
Things like "Hey yall, this little scoop came with the new coffee maker. What do you think it's for?" Or "If I want to make fried chicken next Tues night, should I take it out to thaw this week or wait till closer?" Or "There's going to be a manditory meeting on Friday, do you think I should go?"
It's gotten so bad that I just grit my teeth everytime she opens her mouth. After months of this.. I'm having a hard time NOT being sarcastic to her.

Really? And here all this time I thought it was because I had to push something the size of a Thanksgiving turkey out of my nether regions!! Seriously, either you are basing this on the experience of a woman who has been in incredible physical shape for all her births (I was for my oldest DD, and felt minimal pain ... NOT the case with my last two!!!!) or her kids were the size of hamsters ... No, my pain during my last two labors was not illusory; I assure you it was very real DESPITE me expecting LESS pain from previous experience - As I said, I had a relatively pain free birth for the eldest. Don't assume everyone's experience is the same.

If a woman is in good physical shape, has a wide pelvis that can accommodate the baby, childbirth can be relatively painless. If she has a small narrow pelvis and a big kid, it's gonna hurt no matter what her mindset is. People vary. A lot.
