Petey... Oh Petey.

Not arguing that, but I'm not sure THIS will ever look tasty to me...

Dang, he's so ugly he's beautiful. Not tasty looking though...I quite agree.

Hahaha. This morning he walked out of the coop Doug the wing dance? I hve to put a question mark at te end of that because it's got less wing and more shuffle. He's so weird.

My Silkie doesn't bother me...he sure does bother the ladies though. He hates it when I pick him up and make a fuss over how cute he is. OOOOOOOOOOOOOH the hate.
My D'uccle X Sultan is the sweetest...the other girls don't pay much attention to him though...he can scream about an awesome nest spot or some food he found all day, but they ignore him. I have to go over and check it out, tell him he's a good boy and then he's off to find something else that could be super. The chicks love him, they sleep in his box with him. The only thing he does that is odd....in the morning he's a tad frisky, so he does his "spanish dance" for me.

Roo boy loves me...he loves the momma...a little too much sometimes...
Your roo sounds like he's being silly. Just silly! I've never been pecked or bit, but I've heard that it hurts quite a bit, especially from a roo.
Hopefully he'll knock it off and calm down. I liked your comment about his pride being hurt and how you are unsure of if he has any. xD
That was just too good!

Yea, roosters. Who can figure em out? My little D'Uccle roo doesn't know how to be a roo other than the crowing. My other young roo, Frankenstein, is a polish crested/ brown leghorn cross and he only wants to mate with his mothers. His biological, the leghorn, and his surrogate, a silkie that hatched him. I haven't seen him "do it" with any other of my 20 hens. I should rename him Oedipus.
