Petrified of the flock block?

I tried a small flock block from tsc. My chickens pecked at it, but it was not anything that they were interested in. Someone posted a link to a homemade one that I’m thinking of trying with them.
Funny birds. I got one once and my birds devoured it.

Whats a flick block???

This is the Flock Block that I can buy at a farm store:

Here's a description from the Reviews section:
"Purina, 25 lb., Sun fresh flock block for poultry. A high quality, whole grain, enriched supplement for free-ranging poultry and game birds. These grains encourage natural pecking and feeding instincts. Top quality grains help reduce the incidence of birds pecking and harming each other. Formula uses only the freshest, highest quality, sun-grown grains and plant proteins to give birds the wholesome, healthy goodness and fresh taste they deserve. Made from natural plant-based ingredients free of all animal proteins and fats."

Some people like to make their own flock block.

It's a way of providing a healthy treat and the chickens can peck on the block (instead of each other :D)

I have never seen these except for the wild birds so I expect is is similar although I cannot buy them here in France, I could make my own though depending on what is used to bind it all together, is it a type of cooking fat

I used to make one of my own using chicken feed, sunflour seeds, cracked corn, raisins, oatmeal, wheat germ, peanut butter, eggs (and the crushed shells) and molasses. Don't recall the exact measurements of everything. Once all the ingredients were mixed together, I'd pat it into a foil baking pan (sprayed with no-stick first) and then bake it in the oven. Takes a while to bake all the way through but you want to do it until it gets kind of hard.

My homemade blocks never stuck together as well as the store bought ones but they were easy enough to make using stuff I always had on hand.
