    Hi all,

I have a small flock of chickens in my backyard with their own run and coop, but free range a little in the main yard area on a daily basis.

I am having my daughter's birthday party next month and want to bring in a small mobile petting zoo as the featured activity. Is it safe to have those animals in my yard (separate from my girls during the party), but in an area that they frequent when they are free ranging? I have friends who have used this company and the animals are very healthy and friendly from what they report, but wanted to make sure that I'm not putting my girls at risk for any potential illnesses by having them there for a few hours.

    Thoughts? Advice?

    Thanks in advanced!!

I would request that they not bring any birds. Other than that, go for it.

Let them know you have poultry and ask their views/procedures on biosecurity.
