I got the same one today. Took me to a whole new web page when I clicked on an alert. I'm assuming it must have popped up right as I clicked.

Maybe it was just a full page ad and in my panic it seemed like a whole new page.

When I am am typing A message it looks funny too. Not sure if it's related.

Full page ad (called interstitial ads) is a bug. No PFMs, or any logged-in member, should be getting them. We'll hopefully have it fixed ASAP!

A lot of sites are much less picky or controlled with the type and number of ads they have.

We obviously need to have ads to keep BYC free for the millions of peeps who rely on all of our combined knowledge, but I've made it a promise to myself to go overboard with the number of ads, and keep the ads as BYC friendly as possible!

That's why we have 3 different "ad groups":

• Non-members / Guests: See an average number of family-friendly ads
• Members - Logged-in Users: See fewer ads.
• PFMs: No ads at all

... but sometimes the crazy tech we have running in the background can get a bug in the code (which it seems happened here), so our team QUICKLY works to a resolution!

I’m not a pfm but I just got one. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten an ad like that before though.
