Pheasant chat and hatch-a-long!!!

I sold almost all of my quail hens with only the eggs I collected the day I sold them. I had to order 30 more eggs. I may hatch more quail to try to build my hen numbers back up.
Pheasants are still giving me about 4 eggs or so per week…..I may put a few more in before they quit on me
I've actually got a mixed pen of Tennessee Reds, Mexican Speckled, and Snowflake Bob's that have started a nest, there's a TR setting on the nest but I'm sure it has eggs from all 3 in the nest....they too, just went broody this past week.

Apparently, the Amherst was just laying an egg, ~30mins later she was up and running around with the others....haven't seen her setting on the eggs again. :(

4/11 hatched so far !
The fantastic 4 are 7 weeks old now……i just released them into the aviary
Looks like 2 males and 2 females
The older boys weren’t too happy at first but all seem to be getting along well overall now
I’m planning to remove all 3 of the current cockbirds and grow out the chicks. If both survive, I’ll have to choose between them next spring.

6How large is your aviary?
Main aviary is approximately 500 sq ft…….subaviary is around 100 sq feet…..rabbit/meatie area is approximately 300 sq ft…..im planning to re-net rabbit area so I can put flighted birds over there as well if I need to separate out cockbirds or other flighted troublemakers

Thought I'd post some pics of some juvenile peach and yellow goldens and a mystery chick? I think it's a cinnamon (it's female) but came out of peach parents.
