I was talking to my mother today and telling her about the new Pheasants I am getting tonight.. She asked if I was going to show them but I have no idea if there is even such thing as Pheasant shows... is there?

Does your county fair have an "other fowl" catagory? I see some different types at ours, few peacocks, etc get shown in there.

Your better off not to show your pheasants, they are "gamebirds" not chickens. They can spook easily and injure or even kill themselves.Even birds that you think are tame, you bring them into an enviroment that is strange to them and they may go nuts. Not to mention ,that you can easily pick up diseases from shows. Not that people don't take care of their birds, but 1 sick bird can infect the whole showespecially if there are chickens in the area.I think your best to enjoy them in your yard and if people want to see them, they can visit them in their familiar surroundings. And they still might spook in their cage, again they are "gamebirds."

The Utah Pheasant Society has a giant show in the fall. They have almost every kind of pheasant there. Most of them are for sale too.
