They're from these parents (the short tailed hen) and are 100% pheonix.
Any clue how I got a white (I've had 4 other white from various mother's and this father and they all didn't make it to feathering) and what the farthest one is? The closest is a normal colored chick and the farthest had much less coloring as a chick (smaller stripe, smaller head marking, lighter markings)
I'm not really an expert on the duckwing colors, but the white is probably recessive if I had to guess. I think you can tell for sure by breeding back to one of the parents. The other colored chick I'm not sure, but it looks like it could be a duckwing, just maybe with not as prominent coloring.
More babies! All sorts of different shades and patterns. I'll try to get pictures of the high lights tonight after classes. Don't know how many, just know all are Pheonix besides one Sumatra chick I finally got to hatch
Kinda. The ones I get from hatcheries are not nearly as nice as the ones I've raised and are nothing compared to ones others here have. That hen is like 7 or 8 generations from a hatchery bird by this point.
