Heyyy I don't want to restart a dead thread if that's a faux pas here but I was wondering if anyone on this thread still raises phoenix? I got some crosses from a local chicken lady and they've become my favorite birds in the flock.

I'm raising a group of Phoenix chickens for the first time. They're very decorative birds.

Here's 3 of my males, the white, blonde and red. All are half brothers at the least, possibly full. The red could also be the father to the white and/or the blonde.

The golden hen is half Phoenix and my current progress towards a half serious buff Phoenix

They look like large fowl size, compared to mine. My group is almost 4 months old so still juveniles. I really hope they get bigger. So far I'm impressed with there look and demeanor.

Mine are large fowl. Small, but not no bantam in any but the golden hen

They get to about 5lb for males and 4lb for females. That's average. I have Goldens and Silvers that are from hatchery stock. Planning on Ameraucana crosses in the future. Love the blue eggs. I'll post pics at my lunch time.

They're gorgeous I'm not really a fan of all white birds but your boy is so pretty! The golden hen is also beautiful! Is that lace?

Do you have an idea of weight for your standard eggs? Deciding if I can add standard phoenix hens to my lf for eggs or if they're just eye candy I will eat the bantam eggs too but I have enough quail for small eggs if I want.
