Well I just got a dozen phesant eggs and I put them in with my chicken eggs for the time being until I get my other incubator running. I am wondering if it will be ok? Also I got the eggs from a farmer that raises all kinds of pheasents for hunting and he mixes them together all in one pen and doesnt really care much about the eggs so I might have cross breeds. Is there a difference in color in pheasent eggs from one kind to another?

I hatch mine with chickens all the time, same bator. Different species of pheasants have different colored eggs, it just depends on what he had together in there. My Melalistic hen lays a darker brown shade, where my Ringnecks lay more of a green tan.

Alright Ill keep my eyes on them as some might be hybrids from what I have heard of the farm. he just buys 500 to 1000 chicks and then raises them all together and then releases them. the eggs are more of a side bonus for him to raise birds for his farm and hunts so I am unsure what I will get but I do have 12 eggs and I am very interested on seeing what they do in the next 7 days or so. I am wondering also what I should do when I go into lock down with the chickens? I might have another incubator but I really dont want to set it up if i dont have to. I only have the equipment for one and would have to spot check the incubator now and then if I set it up. Let me know if you have any suggestions for me.

i have a Dicky cabinet incubator and I hatch chicks all the time and pheasants in it. I don't ever go into lock down, because I am always adding some bodies egg.. hehe Anyhow, I did it also with my hova bator but you have to be more diligent on your humidity. On my cabinet and most of the time on my Hova I kept humidity at 55-57% all the way to hatch. This works for me, but I am in Florida, so I don't know what adjustments you may need. I don't even label the date on most of mine.... I just see them peeking out the bator at me when ready... hehe I just hatched a few Yellow Golden, Red golden and possible Swinhoes or Silvers this week..........
