Attempting to hatch Philippine native for the first time. Added an egg a day to the incubator till I reached 12. First egg reached 24 days and no sign of life. The next survivor is at day 21. Can not see any movement when I candled, and no movement with the float test. Plenty of movement with the rest.
I know from eating native chicken eggs, the shells are very thick and hard.
If there is anyone out there that is familiar with hatching this bird, is the incubation period 21 days?
My temp is 37.5C and my humidity is 70%.

Hi and welcome to BYC. I am not familiar with landrace birds from the Philippines so I cannot help - sorry :(

My eggs are dying at around 19 days. I checked one that was alive at 18 days and no sign of life at 19 days, so I opened it. It had pipped the inner membrane, but it's development was that of a 19 day chick. Don't understand why they are dying.

Im confused, what do these links have to do with her question on the Phillipine Native chickens?

They are part of the member’s signature and thus will appear in every post made.

It doesn't have anything to do with her question on the native chickens. It has to do with the OP being a new member and showing a very small portion of what this site has to offer.
