PHILIPPINES BYC GROUP

I'm building an incubator now and later I will build a brooder in preparation for the chicks but i'm having problems locating equipment where can I buy a brooder lamp here in Philippines, bear in mind I live in Bohol.........trying to locate fertile eggs here but no luck yet

I just used incandescent 60 watt bulb then I changed to 30 watt bulb. I tried to ask from Agrivet but they are not selling. Maybe in wholesale agrivet.

instead of a brooder light try making a "modified ohio brooder"



Place a cheap plastic light fitting in the rear section with a 30-40w light bulb

you will need a solid top on the rear section and a mesh top on the front section - hinged so you can get to the light.

This is a very economical use of power.

This design is 24"x36"x15". The middle divider is 8" high with the bottom portion open.

Chicks will pass freely and have areas of cool and warm.
