Are they always this tame? Tonight she hopped up on my hubby's knee and then roosted on his hand as comfy as you please.

Yep she is definetely a Bantam old english game, BBR i have one just like her from tsc.

Shes my best little hen and they are great layers of small whitish eggs

Yes, Ideal Poultry has them in a myriad of colors.
 
I am so sad. It looks as if she was taken by a hawk today. I heard a huge ruckus, saw a large bird fly off from my yard and found only her feathers in a corner of my fence. I can not tell you all how horribly sad I am.
