Yes and no. Lighten it up. The drama you're after is in there, but it's so dark it's hard to tell. Kick it up and play a bit with the contrast and I think you'll get there. You want your light level to be a little more than halfway back to the original.

just keep working with him. he'll get used to you being there and if you reward hiim for good poses he'll be more likely to do them because he associates them with treats.

Yes, I am 100% saying bribe your chicken for pics. :)
Yes I usually give him a treat afterwards. He does better than a lot of my bantams! They won't stand still for a second! Bribing is the only way! 🤣

It doesn't matter which lens you are using. All you have to do is press this button a couple times.

I use 1pt AF 95% of the time.

The rest I use zone AF which is a 9pt cluster.

You can also change it from the back of the screen here.

If you are photographing anything that can move you need to make sure you are in AI Servo and not in One Shot too...

Also you need to go to the blue menu, page 3, and make sure "AF point display" is enabled. When you are reviewing your photos there will be a red box where the camera focused. This way you can check and see if the box is on your subject or if it focused somewhere else.

Ok. I don't have that button on my camera, but I believe I have the Tv setting. I'll have to go over my camera when I get a chance and try this. Thank you so much!

Yeah mine is a T7i, not a T7. Just do it on the back screen like I showed and it will work.

Ok, I couldn't find anything that looked anything like what was on your camera.

And the only thing I saw that said anything about AF is this:
