I definitely agree I don't have the best focus on the face, although I wanted the body to be a little blurry.

This is 35mm f/1.8 1/5 sec iso 400. the DoF is very narrow with the lens wide open and the focus fades in on the eyes, then back out. away from the camera. Lighting is ambient in the room, coming from later afternoon windows on the left facing north.
 
What would be a good beginner camera? Pretty much just one that is easy to use, not many settings and takes clear photos. IDC abt price-any is fine because I may not buy it anyways
Lumix G7 again. It's easy to use and has lots of settings for when you're ready. Autofocus ir a bit slow at times, especially while filming, but it was fantastic when I had it.

The only camera I’ve had is mine and it’s a bit confusing but didn’t take too long to figure out

Never had issues with the autofocus while filming or taking pictures.
