That way you get a clear view of the goose in the foreground but also with the splash of green in the back for some color. And going by the rule of thirds the goose is right where you want her.

In the rule of thirds she should be on the other side. Yours looks like she is on the left, when she should be right..? There should be more space in front of her than behind her. It is a really hard picture to crop but I think the way you cropped it she is in the wrong side.

Obviously, my Iphone camera isn’t that great, so I know the moon is a bit blurry.
Does anyone have any suggestions for possible editing with the photos app?

Not too much you can do with a iPhone pic like this. But, this is what I managed to do.
