For me, it depends on whether or not I'm shooting opportunistically, or have planned a shoot in advance. I always have my Note 20 ultra with me and it serves well for a snapshot and quick video's kind of camera.

If I'm going to actually prep and go out and do a shoot, then I'm packing the following:

Nikon D7000 with:
  • Rokinon 16mm f/2 - My first choice for landscape and astrophotography
  • Sigma 18-200 f/4.5 (no longer available new) - My "all around, walking around" lens. Does a lot but is better with good lighting.
  • Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 prime
  • Nikkor 50mm 5/1.8 prime
  • Nikkor 55-70 f/3.5 - Mainly for portraits.
I'm also "borrowing indefinitely" my FIL's Nikon D610:
  • Nikkor 70-300 f/4.5 - this is the main "walking around lens for this body.
  • Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 - I haven't played a lot with this one yet. Lower light and portraiture are where it's going to shine, I expect.

Most of the photos I share are shot my my D7000 and the 16mm Rok. I am planning a couple trips up the hill soon and will take both the big Nikons with me to really play. I'm also debating getting a 14mm f/2 for the full frame body, we'll see.
