I took some pics today specifically for this, if I get a chance I'll post them today or tomorrow, but I have to say I'm confused. I was reading this weekend on light exposure and apature and f-settings, thought I mostly understood, but couldn't make sense of how the pics responded to the setting adjustments.

Fourpawz, thank you. I ran it through some edits to get rid of the noise and cleaned up the clouds, but the color stands all on its own. Beautiful capture!

Absolutely, but it was shot in 2006. Did people even know what HDR is at that point in time? I shot it with a little Minolta Dimage Z5:
