Photography 101 a BYC taught class *NEW Lesson on Pg. 21*COLOR*

Check your camera manual for "exposure lock". You will want to try and place the meter (camera) in the most even light if your model doesnt offer you any manual control.

I wish the storm had developed about the time the turkeys finally came over for a drink:) Would have been a better image if the clouds had been contrasty and darker.

Maybe in the fall with the leaves colored it will make a better shot

I had the camera virtually in the water LOL. 1 strobe was handheld to its left and low for fill. If the clouds had been more pronounced it would be more appealing, atleast to me. Oh well, as long as that rut keeps holding water I can get another chance:D

Distance from the lens was about 12 inches, maybe less

Two creeks, love the turkey shots the angle is awesome. I've laid on my belly for a shot too, but when I do it at my father's I usually get chiggers!

I garuntee ya im too redneck for yoga haha.

I have issues with my sternuma nd displacing cartlidge in my chest from being a bit to aggresive in my youth (bucked off horses, wrecked atvs and bikes....) Every time I stretch or exert myself these days a loud "pop" can be heard and it feels like ive been stabbed in what ever area is affected. Incredibly painful. I slipped last year while shooting a hillclimb event, lnded on my camera. Bruised my spleen and displaced alot of cartlidge again. Continued to work for another 6 hours, climbing the 600 foot hill many times, then drove 8 hours home. Tough yes...stupid..absolutley....giving up? No way haha!

OHHHH sounds painful! I have a pretty physical and very stressful job. I do power yoga which helps to build strength as well a balance and flexibilty. Hopefully to prevent being in your shoes at the end of my career. I use both photography and yoga to de-stress.

Two Creeks,

These were taken just before 9pm tonight, with a tripod. I am having fun playing with ISO, now that I'm learning how to manipulate it to get the images I want. Very interesting, that these high ISO numbers would have completely washed out a daytime scene, yet there is barely enough light for an evening scene.

ISO HI 1 (on my camera, this is as high as it goes, don't know the actual value) The shot is grainy, not good.

ISO 1600 Better sky color, less grainy. This was the closest to how the scene looked in person.

ISO 800 Best sky colors, even though the foreground is mostly blacked out. It comes off as a silhouette. I like this one best.
