Crevices can catch toenails.
The keys are firmly attached to a removable board. A hose and a bit of light brushing is all it takes. There are very few crevices as they were filled. Good point though, we will recheck and epoxy any that remain.
 
The keys do not move. They are attached firmly to a plywood support. Per another suggestion, we need to fill in a few more of the crevices.

The icing on the cake would be to pipe in some Classical music to keep them entertained.

My chicks are only a week old, but I have our 24/7 Classical playing constantly on a small radio. I've read that chickens like Classical music and NPR radio. They don't seem agitated and just hop around and take a gazillion naps.

I believe there are less than fifty 24/7 Classical stations remaining in the United States, and I'm glad one is still here in Arizona for almost (or more) than 30 years.
