If I might ask, where are you located, thechickenguy? We have coyotes and coons, but we have seen no sign of cats in the woods near us.

located in south eastern ohio. i live in monroe county and it says that monroe county has the biggest abundance of bc in ohio. wow. never seen one except for this one i got a pic of. my chickens are not very happy not being aloud out but i tell them theyll get out sooner or later.

Good luck! Do you think it will just go away or will you have to trap/shoot it? I remember being fascinated by a stuffed one that my Uncle had on his wall. It was posed with it's claws out and it's mouth open...really scary for a little kid! Your pic looks bigger than that one somehow...Terri O==good luck to you!

well i dont know. im going on vacation so my step uncle is comming over to deal with it. what he is going to do though is beyond me. i have no idea. i just want the thing gone so my chickens are aloud out again.!

We've got bobcats right in the middle of San Diego along with coyotes just about everywhere. Mountain Lions are also seen from time to time.

All I can say for your sake is aaaaaahhhhhhhh!

Nice cat. I would have rather seen that strolling past my coop than I what I saw lounging above me beside my coop one night in Oregon, much bigger kitty

Yikes, thats scary. We have mountian lions here too but they usually don't come in close to the house ( at least I think they dont). I lost a momma duck and five half grown babies seven years ago to a bobcat, didn't realize it was a bobcat until the blasted thing came out from under the house one day.

ughh... We have Mountain Lions, Bobcats,Lynx, Coyotes, Wolf, Racoon, Fox and pretty much everything else around here... I would pee my pants if I saw one go after my chickens.
