my hen nugget hatched these guineas back in july
well she went broody after she told her guineas bye bye and the guineas still think shes mom
every time she got off the nest to eat and drink and stuff the guineas ran to her and stayed with her until she got off the nest again
well when she got off the nest with these chicks and stayed off they were so relieved that she finally got off
now that she has 2 chicks the guineas help take care of them
they alert the chicks to stuff and keep a watchful eye out
the only thing i dont like is the fact that when the hen sees a bug she calls her chicks and since the guineas were her babies she made the same sound so they just about always steal the bug or whatever it is away from the chicks
but other then that they are very nice to the chicks never pick on them and always watch them
and the hen dont seem to care that the guineas still wanna be with her nor do the chicks
the chicks just go under them and walk all around them and dont care

How sweet! In one photo the chick is nearly covered by the leaves!

oh yea nuget is so intent on finding bugs and stuff she just keeps digging and when your out in the woods with her she covers them right up with leaves and you dont know where to walk because you cant see the chicks
especially the little serama chick
