EE stands for Easter Egger. An Easter Egger is an unrecognized (by judging standards) breed of chicken that might lay a tinted egg - green, blue, pinkish or brown. They're really mutts because they're not a true breed. Hatcheries often refer to them as Ameraucanas, but they're NOT. Ameraucanas are a true breed and are more rare. As far as I know, none of the commercial hatcheries sell true Ameraucanas. Easter Eggers are very common and quite popular. Here are a couple of threads about EEs, and if you want to know more, just search "easter egger breed" in the BYC search box. EEs are often but not always characterized by green or slate-colored legs, muffs (cheek fluff on their faces) and pea combs.
