Picked some Wild Berries!

Picked a bowl of wild blackberries a few minutes ago, didn't get many maybe a little more then a quart, the drought seems to have caused some problems there. Many simply dried up on the bush, but there are still a ton of red ones waiting to get ripe out in the woods, I'll have to check and try to pick a good amount. Its slow going out there thick thorny bushes to wade through and a radio strapped to my back playing music so I don't surprise any bears out there with berries on their minds.

Woo!! I picked about 4 gallons with a friend last weekend here in Mid MI, no bears to worry about. Two weeks ago, they were too dried up, but with the few storms we got hit with, they plumped up and were good last week. I've made all of mine into jam now, and don't plan to go out again, I've donated enough blood for them this year!
