Picked up a free Roo today, it needed re-homing

We can't get another picture or two. He keeps posturing and trying to dance around the girls so maybe I can get a good breast picture. Okay. Not a good breast picture oh, but you see all the white on his hocks and how poor the barring is.

View attachment 2383982 and here you can see just a hint of the green black in the tail. Mostly he has the metallic brown black instead. Not sure quite what to call that color. It's almost a darkened bronze, but there is no other read anywhere in him
So you're talking about the iridescence of the black in the tail. Many black colored birds may shine green, purple, bronze, & or gold in the sunlight. Some do more then others. Blue can have iridescence too, but not always.
