Wow that's a lot of chickens! What breeds do you have ?We have a hobby farm, I'm the primary manager of the birds, along with my sister.
72 chickens total.
Purebreeds: Malays, Buff Orpingtons, Silkies, Light Brahmas(Will be replacing the Brahmas), Porcelain D'uccles(Removing them), Mille Fleur D'uccle, OEGBs, Easter Eggers, Black SumatrasWow that's a lot of chickens! What breeds do you have ?
Hate to be the downer here, but just asking... is your dad actively looking for more birds? Does he have the space for rearing and integration?
An awesome new breed gifted to someone 100% prepared and equipped for more birds is a truly amazing gift... just asking if thats the case.
Sorry, I always flinch a little when I hear about someone gifting animals. In way too many cases it doesn't turn out well for the animal.
But is he actually interested in any of the birds, let alone the breeds you posted? We have a hobby farm, I'm the primary manager of the birds, along with my sister.

Aseel, & Ayam Ketawa are a couple he's interested in.But is he actually interested in any of the birds, let alone the breeds you posted?
Ive tried for years to do similar things with my father and brother. It has yet to work out and often times they forget within a few weeks that these birds were bought for them to admire
Sounds like they are really for you then. So I'd just get whatever you wanted. You'll be the one taking care of them and breeding them.We have a hobby farm, I'm the primary manager of the birds, along with my sister.

Yeah, it always backfires. One of my roommates wanted some chickens of her own because my English Orpingtons were "too big". She ended up with like 20 something TSC bantams, a pair of Silkies, and several pairs of Seramas. Then she moved out and I got saddled with all of the birds. I also fed and watered them nine times out of ten, plus I built their pens, etc. So keep in mind that more birds equals more work and not necessarily for the recipient of the birds. But is he actually interested in any of the birds, let alone the breeds you posted?
