My chicks are in, I got the call from the feed store at 8:30 this morning!

I can't pick them up until after I get out of work at 4:30.

I keep checking the clock every 5 minutes, but this day is dragging! It's not like I can focus on work anyway thinking about those fuzzy butts!

Just had to vent with people who would understand..... my brooder is ready and waiting for some chicks!

Thanks! I am glad they came in right before the weekend, or I'd be worried about leaving home alone all day at first!

I kind feel like I did when I had my first labor pains with my daughter the last day or so- double checking the brooder temp and setup, making sure I have everything I need on hand and everything in the car ready to go. LOL!

I'd get a horrendous stomach and go home sick. Pick up those chicks asap!

I'm tempted, really tempted. If I hadn't had to take yesterday off for other things and in late this morning after the dentist I'd be so gone right now!

Yes! Think up some way to get out of there early! Your chicks need you!

I sooooo relate to this. I come home from work and it is so nice to go out to the coop and hang for a while. Very relaxing. I have a couple of chickens who just talk their heads off and we share how our day has gone.

Post pictures when you can!

You went to the dentist this morning? Excellent. Tell the boss the pain medication has worn off, and you are in pain. Vomit if you have to.
