Pickle the Silkie

Well Pickles was grumpy... as usual, he threw a fit when Nugget hissed at him because she was broody. I candled her eggs and they all look alive of course since the eggs are from my laying hens they aren't Pickles actual babies but this will be a good test. I want to see how he will act around babies so hopefully in the future he will have his own babies.

Thanks! Ducklings are adorable but what little mess makers! I found Cracker sitting in their water bowl and Chicken, (Yes I have a duck named chicken.) Was sleeping on their feed dish. Luckily they don't poop in their food.

Ha my babies are the same, one likes to sleep with her butt right in the top of the feeder ugh.....she poops in it

I finally got some pictures of Pickles! He was whining as usual. But he was happier than usual. He spent the day whining to my duck Nugget. I think that made him happier and maybe the sunshine helped too.

Indeed. He is very talented in the art of hiding from people. I just wish he would use that "skill," to hide from predators. He is a predator magnet.

Poor boy! My rooster is so sweet but when I come in the run he goes brraaarkkk and makes everyone go in the other run that only has a small (not big enough for me unless I crawl though) opening to the other. So I have to go in the other run (a walk in door) to get them ugh . At least he would *probably* get the girls to cover if a predator was around if they free ranged.
