Pickled Quail Egg Question

How long do you boil your eggs to pickle. I've read many answers.........I'm confused

hahahaha! I read the title totally wrong.

I was wondering how long you pickle a quail. And why.

bring them to a full boil, then turn the heat off and let them set for 5 minutes. is how i do mine. also while they are in the water i stir them. it makes the yolk settle in the middle of the egg
