PICS added: Help me sort out what seems to be complicated vent issue (prolapse/gleet?)

I checked her crop this morning and it seems fine.

However, new today, instead of the regular leaky pasty white butt, there seemed to be egg yolk dribbling out the back.

This doesn't end. I have been at this for more than six weeks. :idunno
Well, vent gleet can appear yellow, too, so I don't know if it is yolk. My girl with gleet has the yellow gunk. The only times I've seen yolk coming from a vent were a shell-less egg and an egg broken inside a hen.

Good grief! 6 weeks?!?!?! I wonder if it's just the gleet being gleet. You had to treat the prolapse, too, so that might have prolonged the healing. Like you spent 3 weeks getting the prolapse diagnosed and treated, and now three weeks on the gleet. If that makes any sense.

Yes I think it did prolong the healing dealing with the prolapse. She was a mess and any normal person probably would not have stuck with her. I"m in it this far though, it only seems right to continue. Just wish I could find some nystatin!

Yes, you are one heck of a chicken parent!

I wonder what's causing the shortage. Did the vet say why???
