I am having some problems I HAVE MITES !!!! and a few hens not laying so I am getting 4-5 new pullets probably barred rock and EE's next week and keeping them in the smaller chicken tractor till they are old enough to go into the main flock then I might cull faverolles (not great layers and get poopy butt allot although all others don't)

thanks how did the sex of your blue ameraucana turn out? and maybe later I might be intrested in a few BO! but right now I am sticking with these hens and the new pullets I am getting for now but if I do cull or get a broody I will contact you.

It turned out to be black. For some reason it looked to have a blue tint to it as a baby, but feathered in black.

In the spring I'll have some LF lavender chicks though.

oh ya I will definetly have to get in on that ! I am also going to try and get some more dark eggers if I have a broody. (wich I should my ameraucana line and cuckoo marans are legendaraly broody I already missed 2 broody amerucana this summer when I was away !

thanks sorry about your garden we worked really hard to get away from the clay soil we have here 10 years of compost and fertilizer !
