She won't budge! She only gets up twice a day on warm or hot days and once a day on cold days. I hand feed her a small treat daily, and I'm the only one she trusts near her nest. She squawks anytime one of the other hens enters the coop where her pen and nest are located. If she's off the nest when one comes in, she tries to look scary which is so cute since she is so very tiny. My problem is making sure she eats and drinks more than sets. She's an exceptionally good broody. I thought she was dead last night because she didn't even gently peck me when I candled. I will keep that in mind if another hen goes broody, however. Thanks for your concern.
I had read on another thread about bad eggs exploding under a broody and ruining all the other good eggs. That's why I'm checking every 3 days or so. It was only the 2nd check last night, and I won't check again until Friday.
