I've had a couple of PMs asking about snacks he likes, so I'll post here. He loves those Slim Jim snacks sticks, and beef jerky of any kind. He likes granola bars, chocolate chip cookies, Tostitos, Cheetos, and I'm trying to remember what those darn gooey sour stick things are called! I'll have to think about it, he's not a really big snacker, but when you can't get it, you tend to want it more!

Writer my son has been in for 3 years. Hes getting to redeploy in November. I remember his basic training. I couldn't believe how excited he was about it. He was really worried when he went in that he would not succeed at it. Luckily he did. I can still remember when he graduated from baisc. When we went to see him He hugged me so tight. I can still feel it. I don't think hes hugged me like that before or since. Basic was the first time he was really away from home for long. Hes a seasoned soldier now but looking forward to getting out next year. I pray your son has as good an experience as my son.
